Rigaud, QC

This project was a collaborative exploration of a couple's dream home. The initial concept was for a single-storey house, that possibly included second-storey guest accommodations and the incorporation of a variety of environmental systems. From this starting point the design evolved into the expression of a more public main floor with the more private spaces withdrawn to the upper level, including both clients' individual studio spaces. This programmatic strategy was expressed architecturally with independent pavilions situated above an integrated common volume.
